These submission guidelines will help you understand which articles are allowed and which are not allowed for submission to our article directory. Before submitting an article, we highly recommend that you read these rules.

1. GENERAL TERMS

1.1. The articles that you submit must be your own work. Do not submit articles written by other authors. No re-branded articles allowed, you must be the sole copyright holder for each article you submit. If you submit the article on behalf of the original author, include his or her email address and name. If you hired someone to write the article for you, you must have the exclusive rights for the article.

1.2. By submitting your articles to ExpertArticles.com, you grant us the right to publish your articles. We have the right to publish your article anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS. We can also change the place where it appears, including the category, at any time.

1.3. By submitting your articles to ExpertArticles.com, you grant others the right to publish your articles. Other ExpertArticles.com users have the right to publish your articles on their websites, in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state. This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.

1.4. No affiliate links! -The articles that you submit to ExpertArticles.com must not contain affiliate links. It is acceptable, however, to mention the URL's of helpful sites or your own website which redirects to the recommended affiliate product.

1.5. Submitting your articles to ExpertArticles.com does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind.You will not receive compensation from ExpertArticles.com or the users of our directory for articles you submit.

1.6. Submitting an article in no ways guarantees inclusion in our directory. We reserve the right to reject an article submission if it is not compliant with ExpertArticles.com Submission Guidelines.

2. YOUR AUTHOR NAME

2.1. Your AUTHOR NAME must have a First name and a Last name.

2.2. We do allow "First name - Last initial" or "First initial - Last Name" in your AUTHOR NAME.

2.3. We do not allow two initials for your AUTHOR NAME.

2.4. Your First and Last names in the AUTHOR NAME must begin with a Capital Letter.

2.5. We do not allow the use of the company name as your AUTHOR NAME.

2.6. We do not allow the use of the email address as your AUTHOR NAME.

2.7. We do not allow the use of adjectives, nouns or descriptors as a part of your AUTHOR NAME.

2.8. We do not allow the use of the title after your AUTHOR NAME unless you hold a doctorate-level degree (Dr., MD, DDS, PhD, etc.)

2.9. We do not allow the use of religious titles before or after your AUTHOR NAME.

2.10. We do allow alternate author names under your account (such as a pen-name or if you are an author's assistant or manage articles for multiple different author's). You can add alternate author names from your AUTHOR MENU once you are logged in to the members only area. ALL of the same rules for the AUTHOR NAME above apply to the ALTERNATE AUTHOR NAMES.

2.11. You can upload your photo to be associated with your AUTHOR NAME.

3. ARTICLE CONTENT

3.1. Your article MUST NOT be an advertisement, press release, promotional copy, or sales letter. Your article MUST BE informative, tell about your own experience and contain strategies, tactics, techniques, tips, analysis, tests, case-studies, or opinions.

3.2. Your article MUST NOT contain pornography or adult material, MUST NOT be hate or violence-oriented, advocate against any individual, suggest racial intolerance, have insulting or offending tone, or contain excess profanity.

3.3. Your article MUST NOT contain information on: support for terrorism/ radicalism/ religious fanaticism, bomb creation, weapon/ firearms/ ammunition/ balisongs/ butterfly knives or brass knuckles, illicit drugs or drug paraphernalia, hacking/cracking content, auto-surf program advocacy or promotion,  steroid use or advocacy, or the promotion of hard alcohol/tobacco-related products or prescription drugs.

3.4. Your article MUST NOT contain any content that is a violation of any law or infringes on the legal rights of others.

3.5. Your article MUST NOT be a submission of the exact same article as one that you have already submitted.

3.6. Your article MUST NOT contain any personal correspondence.

3.7. Your article MUST BE written in English. We do not accept articles written on languages other than English.

3.8. Your article MUST BE spellchecked and proof read for grammatical errors.

4. ARTICLE FORMAT

4.1. ARTICLE TITLE:

4.1.1. Do not write your article TITLE in ALL CAPS. Capitalize only the first letter of every major word in the article TITLE.

4.1.2. Do not put QUOTES around your article TITLE. However, you can use a quote or an apostrophe to call attention to one word or a phrase.

4.1.3. Do not put a period at the end of your article TITLE.

4.1.4. Do not use Microsoft Word smart quotes in your article TITLE.

4.1.5. Do not use repetitive punctuation in your article TITLE.

4.1.6. Do not repeat your article TITLE in the article BODY.

4.1.7. Do not include HTML tags of any kind into your article TITLE.

4.1.8. Do not include your AUTHOR NAME or URL into your article TITLE.

4.1.9. Do not include too many keywords in your article TITLE.
 

4.2. ARTICLE BODY:

4.2.1. Your article BODY must contain from 500 to 4,000 words.

4.2.2. Do not put the Copyrights or Reprint Rights statement into your article BODY. Put them into the Resource box instead.

4.2.3. We do allow active or inactive links to be included into your article BODY. However, we do not allow active or inactive links in the first sentence, first 1-3 paragraphs of the article BODY or above the fold of an article. Put your active links in the RESOURCE BOX below the article BODY. There is a total active link limit of (3) active links per article. We do not auto-format URLs that are in your article BODY.

4.2.4. Do not include the same ACTIVE link into the article BODY more than once. Do not submit duplicate identical URLs.

4.2.5. Do not include images into your article BODY.

4.2.6. Split your article BODY into paragraphs in order readers can easily read and understand it.

4.2.7. We do allow the following HTML TAGS in the ARTICLE BODY:

• <b>BOLD</b>
• <i>ITALICS</i>
• <u>UNDERLINE</u>
• <br>
• <p> and </p>
• <OL> and <UL> tags for a NUMBERED or a BULLET POINT list.

NOTE: Be sure to include both OPEN and CLOSE HTML tags.

4.2.8. We do not allow the following HTML TAGS in the ARTICLE BODY:

• <JAVASCRIPT>
• FONT SIZE or COLOR tags
• <H1>, <H2>, <H3>, etc. tags
• <HR> horizontal line tag
• MS Word Smart Quotes

4.2.9. Do not include too many HARD LINE BREAKS into your article BODY.

4.2.10. Do not include any excess vertical spaces at the very END of your ARTICLE BODY.
 

5. RESOURCE BOX

5.1. You can include the author bio and website description into the RESOURCE BOX.

5.2. You can include the Copyrights or Reprint Rights statement into the RESOURCE BOX.

5.3. You can include the website URL(s) into the the RESOURCE BOX. We do not auto format URLs that are in your RESOURCE BOX.

5.4. We do not allow the inclusion of URLs (in the Article Body or Resource Box) to websites that include pornography, or adult-oriented content.

6. ARTICLE SUMMARY

6.1. The article SUMMARY must contain 2-5 sentences describing what your article is about. You use the first paragraph of your article as the article SUMMARY.

6.2. We do not allow HTML tags of any kind in your ARTICLE SUMMARY.

6.3. We do not allow any promotional information in your ARTICLE SUMMARY.

6.4. We do not allow your AUTHOR NAME in your ARTICLE SUMMARY.

6.5. We do not allow any links in your ARTICLE SUMMARY.

7. KEYWORDS

7.1. Add a minimum of 3-5 keywords for your article. A maximum of 25 keywords is allowed.

7.2. Separate your keywords with a comma.

7.3. Do not include the keywords that do not relate to the content of your article.
 

8. ARTICLE CATEGORY and SUBCATEGORY

8.1 Submit your article to the SUBCATEGORY relevant to the theme of your article.

8.2. Do not submit your article to the top category. We reserve the right to change your article category or subcategory if it was submitted to an inappropriate category (subcategory).
 

9. AFFILIATE LINKS

Affiliate links are allowed if the link is a your own domain that redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level folder.

9.1. It is allowed to forward to an affiliate link from:

http://your-domain.com/

9.2. It is not allowed to forward to an affiliate link from:

http://your-domain.com/sub-folder/
http://your-domain.com/sub-folder/index.htm
