So, what does it really take to succeed as an entreprenuer, a small business owner or the operator of a home based business? It's all about attitude and action. I've been through the mill, believe me. It is not necessary for you to make the mistakes that many beginners in the home based business make which eventually leads them to quit in frustration. I got involved with a product line that I truly got passionate about and believe in still. It truly is a life changing product and the compensation plan is fantastic. So why did it not just happen? The fact of the matter is I did not have the right attitude and did not take correct action. Like most people breaking into the home based business, I had no clue about 2.0, JVs, SEOs, PPC, CPAs and the rest of these things the "Gurus" are bombarding us with constantly.

So, I went out and picked off a couple of thousand of dollars worth of programs to "get it right". I fell into the analysis/paralysis syndrome and ended up floundering for months. The fact of the matter was it was all about ATTITUDE, there is a legend about a Sultan from the 16th century who had all the riches he could ever want, but he felt he lacked the riches of wisdom. So, he hired the most knowledgeable men to search the world over for the knowledge that existed on all subjects and to return and write the book that would answer all questions. Upon the return of these seekers, they compiled a huge volume containing the information they had gathered and presented this to the Sultan. Being impatient, the Sultan had them reduce this to a chapter, then a paragraph, then a sentence and finally, a single word. That word was ATTITUDE. What you BELIEVE, you can ACHIEVE, it really is all about attitude and taking action. Upon embarking on the adventure into the marketing arena, had I taken the attitude of achievement and taking action, I would have saved a lot of frustration and money. The adage that you can't do it wrong, just do it, is true. You can always adapt. The key really is to do something, anything.

The book and DVD "The Secret" talks about visualization and the Law of Attraction, and these are valid concepts, but the contributors to that work are now out on the circuit and across the board, they are all telling us that you still need to take action. Personal development and the transformation of consciousness combined with the explosion of the internet as a marketing tool has created the "perfect storm" for my business and by default, I have become an expert in what to do and what not to do. I would humbly urge all to use the adage "Fire, Ready, Aim" when getting into the business. Trying to acquire the knowledge of the world does not work, there will always be more. So, join me on this wonderful broad highway of home based marketing and get the ATTITUDE of success and just take ACTION and your business will take off. One final thought. The people who don't succeed are the people who quit. "Always bear in mind that our resolution to succeed is more important than any other thing." A. Lincoln
