Booklet printing has two crucial pages that you should always concentrate on. Though the content is of course the meat of your booklet, the booklet cover and the table of contents is where the success of your booklet printing lies. If any of these pages fail to interest and engage your readers, then your custom booklet printing will come to no avail and probably fail altogether. That is why it is important to piece together each element of these pages correctly to create a very appealing front end to your color booklets. Once you do these first two pages right, the rest of your booklet printing should be easy sailing. So here is the information that you need to make these to important pages attractive and functional at the same time.
The cover: Of course, obviously the first and most crucial page in booklet printing is the cover. The cover is where you attract people to read your booklets. It is the first thing that people see, and it is of course the first that is always judged. This is where a booklet’s first impression lies so it is important to have this as pristine and well thought as possible. To do this, you have to understand how to make your covers attractive by emphasizing on the three major elements of the cover.
Booklet name. The name of the booklet is just like the name of the magazine. It should describe the nature of the booklet as a whole, but is must also sound enticing as well. People should be able to read the booklet title and immediately know what it is all about. If possible they must also be entertained by the name so that it can be as memorable as possible. So you must choose a name that is both appealing and very descriptive.
Cover image. After the name, the image cover is our next hurdle in the booklet cover. Your cover image must always be very appealing. It must connect to your readers in a very close and personal level and of course it must relate to your topic at hand readily. It is important to take your time in designing this cover since it will determine the initial success of your booklets.
Supporting text. Finally, you have the supporting text of the cover. This can be something that you can use to supplement the image of the cover. This can include more detailed information about the topic of your booklet so that people can confirm if it is the one that they want to read. Be careful however and don't go overboard with this. It is best to have a large image in the cover instead of a block text so people do not get intimidated by the length even for booklets.
The table of contents: The next important element in booklet printing is the table of contents. This does not only make your booklets look organized. It also gives you an opportunity to advertise or promote any important content inside of the booklets. Of course, the table also helps your readers to quickly navigate to the information they want bypassing others that they are not interested in. To achieve these goals however, you need to be aware of three aspects of your booklet table of content.
Booklet organization. The table of content is your key to organizing your booklets. Each sub topic must be inside a bigger topic or section that is related to it. You always want to do this with your content so that people can easily understand how to read your booklets. Without the table and proper organization people can become confused and frustrated by the booklets.
Title writing. Also title writing for the table of contents is a crucial aspect that you must concentrate on. You must always be descriptive on the title of each page entry in your table so that people can know immediately what that section or page is all about. Using vague broad item titles will only frustrate your reader since it makes it harder for them to find the information that they want.
Table promotions. Finally, the table of contents can be your change to emphasize an important article or section in your booklet. You can highlight that important section in the table so that people can immediately see the page where it is located. Doing this makes it easier for readers to read your content as the most crucial thing that they want is already clearly marked.
So that is all there is to it. Once you have these two pages all ready, you should be able to organize your brochure content and make it appealing at the same time.
