One thing all companies want to do is connect with their customer base. The closer people feel to a company the more important they’ll consider the company and the more business they’ll give it.

In my town I regularly see commercials talking about supporting local businesses, which in turn supports the local community. This is the important thing for a local business to be aware of. You’re doing more than just provide people with your services, but helping to strengthen to city you’re based in. People can feel comfortable knowing that the money they spend shopping with you will be funneled right back into the city.

You’re job is to make people be aware of this kind of connection. This is where poster printing comes in as an important form of local advertising.

For any upcoming sales, for any new products you plan on releasing, or even just to let people know that your company exists, get some posters made out. Make sure to use colors that are eye catching and wording that is direct and to the point. I know of plenty of companies that have posters that have been up for months in different stores I frequent. Few other forms of marketing can get such prolonged exposure on such a small budget.

For a small company you aren’t going to have a massive budget for your advertising, which is why this form of poster marketing can be such a beneficial means of stretching your marketing budget as far as possible.

You might also look for events such as local sporting teams playing or any concerts to put your posters at. By connecting yourself to these more local events you can help reinforce the image to people of a devoted local company.

Take advantage of your small company status by making yourself thoroughly connected with your local community. This is something only a small business can accomplish, so don’t waste your opportunity by failing to realize it.
