Marriage is a special union between two people who have committed themselves to each other for the rest of their lives. It is a very important step that a couple takes to begin their lifelong journey as one. Because of this, every year of marriage is a cause for a celebration and thanksgiving. Married couples celebrate and commemorate their wedding anniversaries to remind each one of the vows they made on their wedding day and to reaffirm the love and commitment that they have for one another. Furthermore, they supplement the celebration by giving special gifts to each other. If you are one of those couples who will be celebrating their wedding anniversary soon, then you must be looking for the special, one-of-a-kind gift that you can give your spouse. Here’s a suggestion: instead of giving your spouse just one gift, why not give him or her one whole gift basket?

There are a lot of different varieties of anniversary gift baskets that you could choose from. You can choose something that has been pre-packed already or you can customize the gift basket for a more personal touch and be the one to select what items to fill it up with.

If you do not like the pressure and the hassle (and the cost, as well!) of choosing each and every item to make up your anniversary gift basket, then a pre-packed one will be the best option for you. An example of pre-packed anniversary gift basket is something with a romantic theme: flowers, candies, chocolates, and bath and body products. If your spouse has a penchant for a particular thing, say for wine and cheese, why not get him/her a gift basket filled with different wine bottles and assorted kinds of cheese? If he/she is into a particular sport like golf, why not get him/her a golf-themed gift basket? When buying a pre-packed gift basket though, make sure that you add a few touches that would give a personal touch to it. A hand-written note, pictures, or hand-made decorations will do the trick.

If you are a stickler for details and you want a more personal stamp on your gift, then the way for you to go is with the customized anniversary gift basket. Fill up the basket with items that mean something to the two of you as a couple, such as a picture frame with your wedding picture in it, a video of your favorite movie, a CD of your theme song and the like. Another alternative would be to fill up the basket with assorted items that would tickle your spouse’s fancy. Other possible items to include in this basket would be a watch, pieces of jewelry, vacation tickets, a gift certificate to a couple’s spa, an invitation to dinner for two at a fine-dining restaurant, wine or champagne bottles, and perfume.
