"As of this writing, googling the phrase “ Toronto escort” generates 273,000 results. A quick search of “cheap escort services” on the other hand, can lead you to 216,000 different web sites that offer the “companionship” of lovely young women and, the more explicit ones, services like sexual massages. The oldest occupation in the world, it seems, is changing with the times.

Just as how students have taken great advantage of the digital information highway, enterprising owners of escort agencies around the world have also embraced the wonders of the Internet. Although it is almost quite impossible to point out when exactly escort agencies first started offering their services online, what is clear is that these businesses’ online presence is bound to become stronger.

And why not? The Internet, for one, reaches audiences traditional forms of advertisements can only dream about. According to statistics, there are approximately 1, 248, 357, 426 Internet users in the world today. Know of any TV show or newspaper that reaches that much people? I don’t think so.

The Internet also gives potential clients unprecedented access to information about what a particular agency offers. By creating a web site, they can give patrons a preview of what their escorts look like and give them a clear idea of what their choices are. Do they have blonde hair or are they a redheaded bombshell? Are they willowy or voluptuous? Are they petite or tall Viking goddesses? With a gallery showcasing different looks and particular “charms” of their escorts, they are able to better entice men longing for their ladies’ “companionship”.

Escort agencies housing model companions, exotic dancers and the like, have taken to advertising their companies and services online also because doing so makes it more convenient for potential customers to avail of their services. It eliminates the need to personally come to their agency and pick which woman he would like to escort him for the night-- a simple browse through the agency’s online gallery and then a short telephone call will do.

And with online “request” forms, there are even instances when customers can transact with their chosen agency entirely online. No more talking to customer service agents, no more making telephone calls; with a few keystrokes and clicks of the mouse, any adult with a credit card can avail of cheap escort services any time they want.

What do these all mean for the business? Simply put, greater convenience equals happy customers, and happy customers mean better business.

Escort service agencies are going high tech, and there is nothing anyone can do but accept the fact.

While saving an endangered species can be a race against time, saving the Tasmanian devil has become an all-out sprint. Even as a kid, I always thought Earth Day was such a great holiday. But, back then, I didn't really understand the importance of it. I just loved the extended recesses we had on Earth Day. I mean, environmental responsibility is born out of a love of nature, and enjoying the earth's colors, beauty, and outdoor activities.
