From the time we are old enough to talk, we are surrounded by weddings. We all grow up imagining our partners and wedding attire, hoping that it will be the perfect event. However, what many of us don’t realize is that it takes months of planning and perfection. After all, there are many other details to worry about, other than wedding dresses and catering. With thousands of options to choose from, it can be extremely difficult to create the perfect wedding.
The most important thing you should focus on is the overall theme. If you are having a hard time thinking of a beautiful idea, it is smart to find something that both of you enjoy. For example, if you both love going to Paris, perhaps you could create a romantic tone filled with roses and candlelight. Even adding French artwork or an Eiffel tower cake would be effective. Another great way to come up with theme ideas is to analyze the month of your wedding. If you are having a summer wedding, chances are it will be much more warm and bright. On the other hand, if you are having a February wedding, you may want a Valentine’s Day theme complete with hearts and cupid.
While the theme is particularly important, it also should match the wedding entertainment. If this is not done, usually the overall tone of the event seems mismatched. Since there are many different parts to a wedding, you should also break up the music as well. For instance, the wedding ceremony should be low key and perhaps include an instrumental ballad. Whatever you do, it is crucial to not keep the music too lengthy. This will bore guests and ruin what you are trying to accomplish. However, for the procession, anything is possible. While many people prefer classical tunes such as Pachelbel’s Canon, more and more people are now choosing Kenny G and other mainstream artists. As long as the overall feel goes with the theme, you should have a great atmosphere.
Luckily, the wedding reception is much easier when trying to match wedding entertainment to the overall theme. This all depends on who you are as a couple and how crazy you want to be. Many choose special wedding music for their first song, while others go all out and pick something adventurous. There are simply no rules when it comes to letting your hair down and celebrating.
Although it sounds like a difficult task, matching your music and wedding theme is actually a fun thing to do. If you want a solemn ceremony, it may be wise to keep the classical music in and avoid any hard rock hits. However, there are many people who want to spice up their important day and keep the event energetic and engaging. Upbeat wedding entertainment will keep any guest wanting to stay until the place closes. Nonetheless, no matter what type of wedding you want, it is always important to remember that it is your day. It is fundamental to focus on the music that you and your partner want, since hopefully this day will only happen once in your lives!
