Those that have good or better credit can take full advantages of this credit card. It is designed for those that have good credit and are looking for a solid reward program with some options. The Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is the card to apply for if you are looking for low fees as well.
The Details
You will get several things from this credit cards offered to you by Citibank. First, you get an introductory period of 12 months where any of your balance transfers will be at a 0% rate. For your purchases, you get a reasonably low interest rate at 12.99% APR. For your cash advance needs, you will find 22.99% APR a fair rate as well. These rates are variable. There is no annual fee for this credit card either. These things make the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card a good buy not even considering the fact that there are rewards.
The Rewards
Your rewards will provide you with one point per dollar. You will earn five points for each dollar you spend at various qualifying supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations and other locations during your first 12 months. This will later but 1%. All of your other purchases qualify for 1% as well. Your rewards can then be redeemed for various things including gift certificates, phone cards, rebate credits as well as the ability to get an APR point decrease for your account. Your points do expire in five years and you have a yearly limit of 75,000 points. Your first purchase will get you 5000 points just to get you started.
The Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card is a good choice if you are interested in the lower APR rewards or for the various choices in your rewards options. You will find it to provide a solid credit option that is rather affordable as well.
