Are you aware that everyday of your life, you are trading your time for one thing of the other. When you sleep, you trade your time for rest. When you watch movies, you trade your time for pleasure. When you read, you trade your time for knowledge. How rich you become in life is determined by how well you trade time. If you trade your time for valuable things, you become rich. But if you trade it for valueless things, you became poor.
Time is the only thing that everyone has in equal proportion. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. But people trade their time for different values and this is why some are richer than others. The rich trade their time for things that have long lasting values, white the poor trade theirs for things whose values don’t last.
Whatever it is you want to achieve in life, the currency you need to buy it, is time. You thought I would have said money? No! If you don’t have money to achieve your dreams, invest your time in those who has the money, they would give it to you. Money is only as valuable as what it can purchase, and your time, is money.
If you can create values with your time, you can become as wealthy as you want to be. People are looking for values. Nobody would ever give you money, until you add value to him or her. And you cannot add value to another person, if you don’t have it. So, take time to build value for yourself, you can then trade this value for money. Can you see it now? Time creates values, and values are traded for money. What you need most desperately to create wealth for yourself is not money, but time.
That thing you can do very well, start doing them now. Your abilities are your values. Treasure them. Focus on your abilities. Don’t focus on money. When you have the values, money would come looking for you. Develop your abilities well so you can become an expert. The more expertise you acquire, the more people would need you. The richests are those needed by many, while the poorest are those whom nobody needs. The rich postpones the pleasures of today to invest in the values of tomorrow. What are you waiting for? Start building yourself to the point where everybody would need you. Be the first to discover how things can be done better. Be the one to solve that problem best. This is how you are going to become wealthy and rich.
Think of most of the people who have become rich through legitimate means, they invested their time to solve problems no one has ever solved, in better ways. There is no end to ways through which things can be done better. Anything that is done well to today can be done better. This is how you build your value, and your value is what you can trade for money.
How to Maximize your Time
1. Comfort is the greatest thief of time. Rest only when you need rest and work when need you are not resting.
2. Have a clear definition of the things you want to achieve in life and find out what it would take you to achieve them.
3. Divide your life dreams into yearly, monthly, daily, hourly, minutely and secondly goals. Make each second to count for you.
4. Discipline yourself to accomplish each of the day’s goals. Each goal you accomplish a day, makes the next day’s goals easier to accomplish. This way, success would become easier for you than failure.
5. Learn something new each day about how to do the things you do better. Everyday, new and better ways of doing things are being discovered.
