Most parents generally find their young children some cereal for breakfast but could you imaging pouring into a bowl a body wash and make them eat it?

This may be going a little extreme but it does present a valuable point and that is why are our beauty products in most cases not fit to eat? We apply them to our bodies whether it be our face, body or hair and many people realise that what is applied, nearly 60% is absorbed into the bloodstream. If we are using products that are full of chemicals then all that we are doing is filling our bodies with toxins which can lead to illness later in life.

It should also be noted that a lot of the chemicals that are used in skin and beauty products the body is not able to break them down and it is these chemicals that will cause serious damage to the body in future years such as that of cancer. One of the problems is that there is an overwhelming use of chemicals being used these days that the consumer is finding it difficult to determine what is safe and what should be avoided.

When it comes to skin care for young children you need to go and look at the ingredients that are listed and see if you are able to actually determine what any of these ingredients actually are. Chances are that you will not and you will also have a tough time actually pronouncing these ingredients. Some of the ingredients that you need to be aware of are Parabens which are actually linked to some cancers yet they are being used as preservatives in many beauty products including that of babies.

Because of the dangerous chemicals that are being pumped into skin care products because of the simple fact that they are cheap to use and create mass volumes of products, more and more parents are deciding to switch from the traditional trusted big brand names to products that are organic as these will be safer to the skin and there is no risk of any life threatening diseases when absorbed by the skin into the bloodstream.

You can find some of these natural alternative products in the high street but you will need to find a very specialised shop that only retails organic beauty care products. The alternative is to use the Internet to research companies and what is good about these online retailers is that because they do not invest a great deal in advertising they are able to spend their efforts on researching the different natural ingredients that are available and to be able to determine how to best use these in order to help maintain the health of the skin.

Given that there are just so many natural alternatives that are available it really is time to stop using the big brands as these are the worse culprits when it comes to using toxic ingredients. The worst thing is that these companies are not regulated at all so they are able to do what they need in order to make more money at the expense of your children.
