The world of medical care has been a continuously changing and developing reality over the past two centuries. From the days of the past when all medical care was based on the products of the earth, using herbs, foods and, flowers for healing, your emotions were considered highly impact full on your health and often dealt with as a tool in the healing process.

The development of technology, and its eventual position of being considered the beginning and end of effective medicine, caused everything that was non-technical, such as emotions, and natural healing substances to be put aside as inconsequential. In the choice to make a powerful, judgment based on right/wrong and good/bad, what could have been an immensely advanced and supplemented health care protocol, was instead replaced with a disheartened approach to the human body which was viewed as machine.

As with most things in life, the pendulum is in the process of swinging into balance, having been in both ends of the extremes, it is now slowly becoming ready to embrace the best of both approaches. The multi-dimensional reality of who you are is being embraced by greater numbers of practitioners, supporting you in coming to understand that all of who you are needs to be considered in health care.

An intrinsic segment of that shift is presented in Energy Medicine. EKGs and EEGs are tools used by MDs to measure the energy patterns of your heart and our brain. However, energy flows throughout your body, within every cell, every organ, and every system not just your heart and brain. Every move you make, every time your heart beats, your eyes blink, energy is created and moved throughout your body.

We now know that every thought you have, every feeling, every emotion, is an energetic reality. Those energetic realities are either permitted to flow through you readily in a balanced, even pattern, or they are held tight, and repressed as you attempt to not have that thought, feeling or emotional experience because you have judged it, or you, as bad or scary. Each time you hold that thought, trying not to think it, you create an energetic block in your body similar to a cyst.

Think of a time when you just wanted to hit someone, yet you knew you shouldn’t. Think of a time when you got an urge to hurt someone or something……. just because………. . We all have had those thoughts, or experiences. Having those thoughts, or that experience is not good or bad. When you can laugh at yourself and see your own humanity, and simply accept you are not quite perfect yet, you can smile and just let it go, knowing you would never act on that thought or urge. As a result, that thought or urge, that energetic reality simply free-floats through your system being reabsorbed back into your general energy flow.

As an example, I had a patient once who had been to see physicians around the country due to immense pain throughout her body. No one could find anything wrong yet she knew the pain was real. Eventually she came to see me. After a few months of a mix of psychotherapy and energy medicine, where I would balance the energy flows throughout her body and release blocks where I could find them, she came in one day enraged. She started sobbing saying that she hated her kids and always had. Her husband had wanted children yet he now had a job where he traveled and was only home on weekends. She had quit a job she loved and created a life she hated where she felt totally alone.

Once, when for the first time, she was able to cry and talk and share all of her feelings she simply unloaded all that had been hidden inside for years, the sorrow, the rage, and the many desires to run away. She sobbed throughout the session. After that, she decided to get a part-time job, which she had previously thought good mothers did not do. She came to realize that her children actually each had their own personalities and each had such glorious gifts of their own.

A month after that session, she noticed that since that day on the couch, in which she sobbed, ranted and raged, she had not had one pain in her body. She was baffled at how that could have happened. The reality is, she let go of all those thoughts, feelings, and urges, she had repressed since she believed she should not have them. They did not go away, they simply went into hiding and she paid the price. She needed to release them, acknowledge her truth, whether she liked it or not, and then find a health way to deal with it. She did and her health, joy, peace ability to love, even herself, returned.

By continuously supporting her energy blocks in flowing each week, eventually permitting them to loosen as they needed, energy medicine supported her healing on all levels. Her spiritual beliefs, her love of her life, her emotional state and her physical state where all dramatically shifted through the balanced flow of energy in her body. By leaning to experience her body intimately (for some this skill develops immediately for others over time), at the least she learns to relax and be a peace and in joy, and with effort and intent she learns to reconnect with her souls message as it resonates throughout her body. She can come home to herself.

Energy medicine is truly natural medicine, which works with your body and the energy patterns you have created, bringing balance when needed, and healing when possible. It brings you into a far deeper level of awareness of your own body, or reminds you of what you may have forgotten. It helps you achieve a light, flowing, and joyful experience of life and all the blessings you have within it. It brings you back to the real you...
