How Often and How Much Viagra Should I Take?

Viagra is a one day pill, period! Viagra does not give you better results if you take more, in fact if you take more than you are supposed to it is possible that it can either have the opposite effect or sometimes the male can become dependent upon Viagra and can not function sexually at all without it.

In order to get Viagra, legitimate Viagra, a medical history has to be completed and looked over by a doctor. He will then make a determination of how much Viagra you are supposed to take. Sometimes the doctor will start you off on a lower dose for specific health reasons. Viagra is available in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg diamond shaped pills.

Always read and follow the directions that are on the prescription label of your Viagra. Viagra is taken by mouth and can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. Do not take double or extra doses. As with all prescription drugs proper dosage is at the moderation of the doctor. The doses of Viagra are 25mg-100mg, taken once daily, about an hour before sex and Viagra lasts for about four hours. Most of the doctor will have you start with 50mg of Viagra and then may lower or raise it as he or she feels necessary. The drug is sold in three dosages (25, 50, and 100 mg), all three costing about US$10 per pill. Name brand Viagra has a fairly hard coating and it is not scored so it can be difficult to cut without a good pill cutter.

If you believe that the recommended doses of Viagra is too weak or too strong then talk to either your prescribing doctor or your pharmacist. Take the Viagra about an hour before you expect to have sex. Viagra is not intended to sexually stimulate you but rather to assist in giving you an erection once you are sexually stimulated. If you are not sexually stimulated Viagra will not give you an erection. Viagra might take longer to work if you take it after a big meal. Drinking alcohol can temporarily impair the ability to get an erection.

If the amount of Viagra that your doctor has prescribed for you does not help you get an erection or the erection does not last long enough to have satisfactory sex then it is likely that your dose should be adjusted by your doctor.
