Let's first begin by clearing up some misconceptions about cellulite. Stories and theories have been bandied about for decades regarding cellulite, and some stories claim that creams simply don't work on cellulite. There are other misconceptions that are equally erroneous.
Some believe that liposuction will remove cellulite. This is not true because tight bands of fibrous tissue cause cellulite and extracting the fat layer that resides just under the skin may actually worsen that dimpled look.
Another misconception is that eating the right foods will lessen cellulite. While it is always a good idea to eat right, specific foods won't lessen cellulite. Nor, will drinking excess water.
Fit women can have cellulite! It is not an issue simply for overweight women. It is true that the less fat you have in your body, the less likely it is that you will have a great deal of cellulite, but none-the-less, fat can accumulate under the skin in thin women as well.
Using creams as a means to combat cellulite has been an approved treatment option for quite some time. There has also been much controversy about whether they actually work or not. Let's suffice it to say that some creams do work while others do not.
It is recommended that you research the brand of cream that you wish to try. You also need to follow the instructions as they are dictated. Many women will try something and declare that it does not work when they haven't given it an honest trial period.
A good plan of action may combine a number of treatment options. Following a balanced eating plan rich in fruits and vegetables is a great place to start. That will help you lose some stored toxins that may be another cause of cellulite buildup.
You may also wish to include an exercise plan. This will help you decrease the size of your fat cells after you have begun to release the built up water and toxins stored in the fat cells.
A cellulite cream will go deep into the skin and help to smooth out the wrinkling affect of the fibrous tissues and help reduce the water build up as well. Wrapping your body while wearing a treatment cream may help the cream to penetrate deeply into the skin. Use caution as you don't want to dehydrate yourself or have adverse heat issues.
