To survive in network marketing, one needs to generate leads, build relationship and position oneself as an expert. Blogging is an excellent tool for you to achieve these objectives.

Another great thing about blogging is free.

There are many platforms that you can start a network marketing blog. These are free platform like blogger.com and wordpress.com. It is simple to use and easy to start. The risk of free blog platform is you are taking a risk of being deleted if you do not following their rules and regulations.

So if you are serious about your network marketing business, then you may want to use self hosted platform like wordpress.org which give you more control as you host your own blog in your own server.

1) You must have an “opt in box” with some freebies to attract your visitors to part away their information. I have seen so many blogs that do not have that. These visitors visited their blog and leave their sites without doing anything. You just have wasted your effort of bringing your visitors to your blog. This is like you going in to a store, browse and leave. There is no way for that store to get you to come back if they have other offers. They may be able get you to give them your contact information by offering you some freebies. This is possible if there is a system in place to do that and they ask for it. Having an “opt in box” is like having that system in place.

2) You must post good contents to the blog. Good content is attractive to subscribers and they will come back again to your blog. This is how you build relationship with your subscribers. When you post relevant, informative content, you start to position yourself as a leader.

3) It is important to keep your blog lively and interesting by posting video, audio, pictures and article. Nobody loves a boring blog and they will not come back to read your updates.

4) You can make your blog the best in the world, but it is useless unless there is traffic to your blog. You must drive traffic to your blog to generate leads.

It is important to promote your blog everywhere online and also not forgetting your offline promotion. You can print your blog URL on your name cards, advertising materials like flyers. You can distribute them during networking events and meetings to invite friend to visit your site
