The cell phone stun gun is one of the latest models of stun guns. As the name denotes, it is an electronic device that looks like a cell phone but functions as a stun gun. The device is a combination of a personal alarm and 180,000 volts stun gun enclosed in a case.
The stun gun is a non-lethal self-defense device that discharges high voltage electric charge into the attacker’s body. This electric charge interacts with the electric impulses of the body. As a result, the assailant’s blood sugar changes to lactic acid and the neurological impulses are interrupted. The assailant experiences intense pain, disorientation, loss of balance and muscle control, and will be temporarily disabled. This in turn gives enough time for the other person to escape, or shout for help.
The device has low amperage and will not cause any serious injury or permanent damage to the assailant. Moreover, the user will not be affected in any way even if he touches the stunned person.
Cell phone stun guns are small devices 6 inches long, 2 inches wide, and one inch high. It operates on a 9V DC alkaline battery and weighs 5.3 ounces (battery weight not included). There is also a safety switch to prevent accidental discharge.
The device is available in the market in two attractive colors - navy blue and pearl silver. It features special polarity design to ensure proper installation of the battery.
The unique design of the cell phone stun gun is a great advantage as no one thinks that it is a stun gun. As the personal alarm sounds at 130db, the device attracts the attention of the people in the area. Cell phone stun guns are handy weapons that aid the user in overcoming many threatening situations.
