Kitchen is important part of the home of each family. Each wife dreams of a kitchen where she can cook for her family. That is why as soon as it is built, most families buy all kitchen stuff needed. Perhaps, one of the things they get first is the crockery. Some people make the decision to buy everything at one time- those are usually people who can afford to do it and have a lot of money. But most of the people choose buying all things little by little as it may be harmful for the family budget.

It is perfectly normal the crockery to be the first kitchen utensil you buy for your already-built kitchen. When we think about that- we cannot use our kitchen for anything if we do not have crockery.

Crockery seems to be of a great significance for some families. Those divide them into different group- luxurious, non-luxurious, ordinary, cheap, expensive etc. The use of each depends on the guest. If there are friends coming to dinner for example, they will use the ordinary set. But if the boss of the husband is visiting you with his or her family, then they will use the most luxurious and expensive crockery.

There are many people who do not want to store the crockery of different 'categories' or 'types' at the same place. It is ridiculous but they might be thinking that this way they are humiliating the expensive one. Usually, it is placed at the highest cabinet in the kitchen and the other are put below. It is a kind of kitchen hierarchy.

What is good about crockery is that they can be washed very easily- even in the washing machine which is a blessing from God for the housewives. You do not even to use any special or expensive preparations. However, there are still women who can never wash their expensive crockery like that. There are special and expensive preparations which are used, it may sound crazy but some of them even use mineral water. That is too close to the obsession! All women like that need to realize that the most expensive the crockery is, the less fragile it is!

Washing the crockery is incomparable to the hysteria of choosing the best set of crockery. It is the time of the never-ending shopping around. The explanation is that some families think that crockery is something that shows their social status and gives information about their way of living. Fortunately, there are no many families like that nowadays (because 70's are in the past).

Crockery is not cheap at all. That is why you should be extremely careful when choosing it. The price values from country to another. For example, in some countries you need to work hard for months in order to squirrel away some money for that and in others- it is enough to work no more than a week to earn the money you are going to need for the same set of crockery.

One is sure- each family needs to have their own crockery as it is a symbol of solidarity and hospitality. But do not go too far- share it with all your friends no matter how respected they are.
