Personalized items can always make any party seem a bit more individualized and fun. This is true for party goers of any age. Let’s face it, people like to be recognized and even spoiled just a little bit!

For younger party guests consider making special personalized bottles of bubbles, or even yo-yos from stickers that were made from photographs taken during the party. Maracas also make a fun personalized item to pass out at a children’s party, just make sure there is plenty of music and room for the little ones to dance around as they shake their noisemakers. For older children, macrame friendship bracelets with their names spelled out in beads, personalized door signs or even small decorated dry-erase boards makes a great personalized item.

For adults consider creating personalized coffee mugs or tea cups with individual serving sizes of coffee or tea. Include a mix for scones and a personalized bottle of homemade preserves. As they use the jam they will have time to reflect back to the party. Bookmarks, or other personalized items can be made from one of the latest party favor crazes – seeded paper. The paper comes in a variety of colors and textures, one of which would certainly compliment any party decor. Create a card which can have a double use as a place card and/or a thank you card for participating. You can then write a personalized message to the party guest thanking them for sharing this important day with you. Of course, anything can be printed on the seeded paper, so you can consider using the specialized paper as a bookmark or even printing digital photos from the day onto the papers. Then, after the day is over, the guest can plant the message and watch for the wild flowers to grow. Once the sprout and flower, the guest has a beautiful living reminder of that fun-filled day.

Regardless of the age of the guest, a personalized item is a great way of thanking them for joining you on this special day.
