Six Times To Send Greeting Cards To Customers

Making personalized contact with your customers is a great way to generate loyalty and increased sales. And for a small business, it is absolutely vital. As a small business owner, it is essential that you get to know your customers, and communicate with them as much as possible.
One great way to do this is to send personalized greeting cards to your core customers, or target customers. Do this by generating a mailing list that includes the address of your regular customers. Then, print greeting cards for special occasions, personalize them, and send them out!
Here are six times when you can (and should) send greeting cards to your customers.
Holidays
Obviously, Christmas time is a great time to do a greeting card printing aimed at your customers. Be careful not to send out generalized cards, but personalize each one that you print. The only downside here is that most customers receive so many holiday greeting cards that yours may get lost in the shuffle. So, only send Christmas cards to your most loyal customers, as a way of saying thank you.
Birthdays
While still popular, birthday cards are not nearly as common as Christmas cards. You can take advantage of this by designing a greeting card printing for each of your customers’ birthdays. Personalize each one (obviously) and send it out. Include a note about how important that customer’s business is to you.
Anniversaries
Now, when you ask your customers to provide you with their wedding date, they might wonder what you are going to use that information for. Tell them that you recognize the importance of family, and you like to commemorate wedding anniversaries by sending out greeting cards. Most customers will be happy to provide you with that information. Another idea is to send out an anniversary card commemorating the date when that customer became a customer.
Thank You Cards
Send out thank you cards just after a customer first makes a purchase from you, or first completes a transaction with you. Doing this right afterwards is a great way to reinforce your name in the customer’s mind, and if you did a good job in the transaction, it will increase the likelihood that he or she will be back.
Reminders
You could, for no particular reason, send out cards reminding your customers about how important they are to your business. Everyone likes to be reminded that they are important.
Everyday Occasions
Much like the reminders, printing greeting cards for no reason can be effective. Receiving a card out of the blue, for no reason, can really make the customer think about you and look favorably upon your company. Take advantage of this opportunity every once in a while.
