Who are these elected public servants on the Rules and the Appropriation committee? Why does the law forbid a divorced retired military spouse from getting benefits from two different federal government institutions? What is this legislation that Congress passed which permits the retired military divorced person spouse to lose a portion of their share of the retirement pay when the retired member files for disability? I need answers to these questions, what about you? To the women in congress wake up and change this legislation quick. Representative Barbara Lee spoke before Congress on behalf of women living in other nations. The topics discussed by Lee ranged from their economy to rape, but what about the American women military retirement benefits after divorce? Barbara Lee can you get some legislation passed that will keep the Federal government from taking away the ex-spouses’ retirement portion once a disability claim has been filed by the retired members?

Don’t get me wrong, America, I do care about our foreign aid policies toward women in other nations. However, American Citizens need to be left with more of their earnings in their paycheck; we cannot afford to support anymore foreign aid policies. The 20-20-20 Rule Act means a spouse who was married for twenty years to a member who served at least twenty active years in the military will continue to receive military benefits after a divorce. So this means if a spouse was married 19 ? years of the active duty service they will not receive benefits. Does either of these two pieces of legislation benefit the American citizens? No. Mrs. Fox had to vent.

One more thing…it seems every since 9/11 the inventors of spy equipment have managed to create a market for their inventions by keeping the American citizens in a state of fear. You know we had a president who said “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” But President George W. Bush with the help of Congress and the Media is making sure we the American citizens remain in a state of fear. The inventors of spy equipment are banking on our legislators and the Executive Branch to keep us in a state of fear just so they will stay in business forever. From the beginning of time there has been good and evil in the world. (Matthew 13 v 24-30) This nation is like a frog in the pot. By the time we the voters/citizens realize we are being destroyed from within and not from without; it will be too late for our nation to recover. The bottom line is every time Congress passes legislation it hurts the American Citizen monetarily.

Holler If You Hear Me America!

The latest television campaign ad in the Virginia Senate race features two of the primary election approaches engineered by Democratic strategists for this November's mid-term contest: attacking the President's judgment and competence and appealing to the patriotism and dedication to service of current and former military members. These two campaign tactics, along with a third, newer strategy that just emerged in recent weeks, form the core of Howard Dean's plan for winning back the House and Senate after twelve years of Republican control. The first part of the campaign strategy centers on attacking the Republican candidate, Senator George Allen, by framing him as "guilty through association" for his support of the President and his policies.
