Why Does the United States Support Israel in the Attacks on Lebanon?

Many have been critical of the United States vetoing the UN Resolution to tell Israel to stop the attacks in Lebanon. Yet Israel has a right to defend herself against the actions of International Terrorism and the nation states that sponsor it. But Why Does the United States Support Israel in the Attacks on Lebanon?

Simple really, you see Israel is fighting against Hezbollah, an international terrorist organization, which has essentially hijacked Lebanon and her weak government. The United States does not support Israel in the fighting although certainly the USA does supports Israel in Spirit, because the USA believes that a nation has the right to defend herself against International Terrorists. And the United States knows what it is like to be attacked, we know all too well.

Now then, Syria is harboring Hamas and Hezbollah leadership. Syria has a war pact with Iran. Iran funds Hamas and 100 million per year to Hezbollah. Hezbollah has sent rockets into Iran. Hamas has abducted an Israeli soldier. Lebanon allows Hezbollah to have HQ and operations there. Hamas and Hezbollah are known international terrorist organizations. Of course the US supports Israel in spirit and well so should you. Please consider all this in 2006.
