Cornhole is a game where players take turns pitching bags filled with corn into raised platforms. It's gaining huge popularity in the United States at tailgates, barbecues, and NASCAR events.

With the popularity of Cornhole come the bravo players who claim they are the best. Even though you know you've beat these people multiple times at Cornhole, they still claim to be the best, and because Cornhole is rather informal, there is really no checks or balances.

So how can you determine who's really the best backyard players at Cornhole? Have a backyard tournament! It's seriously a blast, it ads a whole new level of excitement to your backyard game of Cornhole, and will finally give your guests the answer to who's the best Cornhole player at your function.

What's the easiest way to run a backyard tournament? The first thing to do when organizing your backyard Cornhole tournament is to select teams. Second is to determine your bracket.

You can search the internet for tournament brackets that you can print out for your Cornhole tournament, some which are even in the Microsoft Excel format. Once printed out you must fill the initial brackets seeds with teams. This is done by putting all the teams' names in a hat and randomly selecting the team's names out of the hat and adding them to your bracket.

The only thing left is to play your Cornhole games, eliminating teams until there is a winner.

And don't forget to make the effort worth the rewards. Besides bragging rights, making a small wager that goes into a "pool" for the winners or providing an extra incentive to the Cornhole winners can add an additional level of excitement to you backyard Cornhole game.
