World Games - US Over Senegal

The United States defeated Senegal in the early round play of the World Games. This game was over before it even started, and this was a good thing for the United States squad. It gave them time to rest their legs a bit as the competition is only going to heat up more and more over the next few weeks.

The United States was led by Chris Bosh who poured in 20 points. To go along with this Lebron James added another 17 points. The US squad managed to do all of this with one of their best players, Dwayne Wade, never touching the floor. He was being rested for the game in order to ensure that his legs are fresh as the tournament of the World’s best moves on.

The US players know that every game is not going to be as easy as the one against Senegal. The fact of the matter is that Senegal has not yet one a game in the tournament, and they are one of the lowest ranked teams in the world. Sure this gave the US a chance to rest some players, but this cannot be expected from here on out if they want to come out as the eventual champion.

Right now is the time for the US to show the rest of the world that they are the best of the best on the basketball court. Not only are they on a winning streak, but other teams are beginning to realize that the Americans are playing with pure determination. It will be interested to see how the World Games unfold.
