Natural Healing Schools offer specialized training in CPR and First Aid that can lead to certification in vital, life-saving emergency skills. Students are taught to provide immediate medical care in the case of a stroke, heart attack, or traumatic injury. They also learn how to help prevent further injury and keep the patient alive for those few critical minutes before professional medical assistance is available.
CPR and First Aid courses are an important component of even the most basic Health Care curriculum. Students and Holistic Health practitioners alike must have a firm knowledge of the proper uses and techniques for performing CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid.
CPR and First Aid Natural Healing Schools teach the same skills as a Traditional School, Vocational School, or Continuing Education course. The knowledge gained can be useful for individuals employed by schools and preschools, hospitals, elder-care facilities, physician's offices, health spas, and the like. The focus is on emergency preparedness and safety.
Natural Healing CPR and First Aid programs provide courses that are approved by the American Heart Association, and they are useful for the layman as well as professional emergency medical technicians (EMT) and other healthcare professionals. Advanced CPR and First Aid courses cover basic CPR for infants, children, and adults in specialized classes that instruct in opening airway passages, using a bag-mask device, pressurized oxygen, automated external defibrillator (AED) devices, and removing airway obstruction (FBAO). Upon completion of the course, students are required to pass written exams and demonstrate learned skills in order to receive Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
