Driving School NJ
Driving school NJ courses are often assigned to those who have been convicted of a moving violation. They are required to take whatever defensive driving course NJ courts have approved in order to have a traffic ticket dismissed or have points removed from their licenses. If this has happened to you, there is good news for all New Jersey drivers. Within the last year, the governing body has decided to allow certain approved providers to offer their courses over the Internet rather than in a traditional classroom.
What this means for you is a level of convenience previously unavailable to people who wanted to get a NJ point reduction or ticket dismissal. Now, you can simply find an approved school, log on, register and enroll in the class, and begin working on the spot. The certificate of completion you will receive after completing the course and passing the final can be used in court, and you won’t have needed to set foot in a classroom.
To find a driving school NJ authorities have deemed an acceptable alternative to the classroom type of school, just do a quick web search. Those schools that are approved are proud to let you know it, and you can usually find out easily whether their classes will be accepted by your court. Not many schools have been through the approval process up to this point, so your options are somewhat limited, but the schools that made it their highest priority to offer a defensive driving course NJ would accept are the ones that made it through the approval process first. This means you should be fine regardless of which approved school you select.
If you do find more than one approved provider and you’re trying to decide between them, there are a few factors you can consider. First, have a look at their web sites. Does one of them scream out “quality” to you? Does one of them just scream? You don’t want to select a school whose home page has you running for the aspirin before you’ve even begun.
Next, have a look at the prices. Generally the range should be relatively small from one provider to the next, but check and see what is included within the price. Some schools will include basic shipping of your certificate free of charge, while some tack on an extra fee for this.
Another factor that you don’t realize you need until you need it is customer service. Try to find a provider who can be there to answer your questions 24 hours a day rather than only during office hours. The unique nature of online courses means that you could find yourself needing to speak with someone on a Friday evening, and if you can find a school that won’t make you lose a weekend waiting for them to reopen their customer service center, you’ll have saved more than your dollars’ worth just in the convenience.
While most online traffic schools are created somewhat similar, they are in no way equal. Do a little homework before you begin your coursework. You’ll be glad you did.
