Philosophy Discussion on Autism

Many do not understand why Autistic Children are so different. We know their brains are wired differently and they do not appear to be stupid or retarded or anything of that nature. So what is the answer to all of this? Well here is a thought? No not really another theory, as there are enough theories on Autism out there already. This is more of a philosophical discussion of sorts really.
Maybe with Autistic Children it just takes longer for the brain to form fully, which means it may be better or more efficient later on? But if we waste the input of proper education (education which actually is tailored to their way of accepting the information), then we do a complete disservice to that individual later on. I think of all the theories, I like that one the best, as it gives us something to look forward to.
You know horses come out of the womb and run around within minutes, humans are rather helpless for the first 2-3 years, yet they are one of the very smartest and most intelligent species on the planet you see? What if it took 40-years to have a fully formed brain rather than 6-years now? Maybe with humans living longer it allows for this, maybe we should be thinking in terms of a 40-year childhood period and then a life time of a more adapted and intelligent super brain potential after that.
So, when people talk about autism, I just think there is so much more going on here and we cannot rule out the "Slower Brain Forming" periods. Hell it took me until I was 30 or so until my brain shifted into higher gears, now I cannot turn it off. Does that make me a lesser? Because it works so much better than it once did? So for this reason I do not pity autistic children, I admire them, and whether right or wrong for choosing my theory of choice, I can tell you there is a lot more to the story. So take this philosophical thought for what it is worth and consider this in 2006.

I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn't photograph them. The probability of that obviously is very low but laws of probability have often been known to falter at the crucial test of reality. In eastern Cultures the passing of thought was considered valuable, so much in fact that even to this day members of those cultures respect their elders and listen to their advice. The passing of such thoughts and concepts and philosophies is of extreme value. When a member of a species determines it wants something a thought is born, which triggers a desire and thus starts the brain into a cycle innovation and strategy. A book called the Seven Daughters of Eve by Richard Sykes is worthy of a read and talks about what we have learned about the flow of human beings populations through DNA research. Thus it is safe to say that certain members of our species have developed differently and in different ways, meaning the brain also learns differently. As Scientists look at different human brains while doing various tasks and watch which areas light up with energy as it works through these different thoughts and tasks we are finding just how unique and different each mind really is.
