I suppose religion is one of the worst discoveries of mankind. Had it not been for religion, I hope there would have prevailed better sense and love. It’s amazing to see the huge number of people killed in the name of religion. I truly oppose any sort of human killing. One man's religion may be offensive to other man. It has been taking place the same way since ages.

What is religion? I will define it this way. Religion is a set of man made beliefs framed in such a way by some that altering any of the set of rules may actually make him an offender. So most of the people are careful enough not to cause an infringement. In religion there are a select few who think that they are the only ones who have an access to God, that also through many efforts to please Him. For some religion is directly associated with God and the so called customs, which are to be practiced and to be inculcated in the next generation.

Killing of humans in the name of religion is accepted fact. People are mad and can go to any extent in the name of religion. They may rape, murder, lynch or any possible brutal way to calm down their blood in the name of religion. Often I think, those often behind gruesome acts go Scott free to instigate at the next possible opportunity. Those involved in the actual fanatic acts are either half headed or might be paid heavily for that. How can they think of seeing the same blood before their eyes? This is all because our societies are filled with selfish motive people who live only for the sake of filling their stomachs and their wealth booties.

I hope people would start rising above the so called religious divide. Let a man call on his own way of worship towards God. No one has the right to stop other. After all it’s his own life and he has to decide what way to follow. Let good peace prevail. I think the concept of world brotherhood should prevail. It can only happen if the world leaders on religion will join hands to fight the great divide. Also I would like to add that people should be educated on religious divide, so that they may feel that the opposite person also has all the vital parameters he has and we breathe the same O2. We drink the same water and most importantly we are very much mortals. Everyone will perish and his work will be undone sometimes later. Each one's case is the same.

Let good sense prevail. Maybe love is the ultimate answer to all problems. Hope I have brought some point to your notice.

A voice came from above that changed Peters mind and is still changing minds to this day.

Lookin' in your eyes I see a paradise This world that I found is too good to be true Standing here beside you, want so much to give you This love in my heart and I feel it for you Let 'em say we're crazy, I'll give a path Put your hands in my hand baby don't ever look back Let the world around us, just fall apart Baby we can make it if we're heart to heart And we can build this thing together Standing strong forever Nothing's gonna stop us nowWhen I first came to love this song it was at an Amway convention when they blasted out songs and showed slides of cars, houses and holidays and the richest of possessions that we could all dream for and strive for. Sorry to bring Amway into it. May make a few of you laugh though.
  • Ted Haggard and How Evangelical Politics Helped End His Preaching Career - By: Les Herron
When the reports of Pastor Ted Haggard's potential sexual downfall were first shouted from the rooftops of the mainstream media his religious friends (and others) pointed fingers at what was certainly political motivation. And politics were certainly a part of the why's and how's of Haggard's downfall but probably not in the way we first thought. To be evangelical and/or charismatic we must be aligned with a specific political party and vote a certain way on each 'important' issue', with importance being defined by someone in a ministry typically located outside of a local church ministry (para-church ministry).
  • Does the Qu'ran Command Endless War - By: Ray McIntyre
After the tragedies of the 11th of September 2001 and the invasion of Iraq many people are arguing that the Qu'ran and Islam itself teaches that a state of endless war exists between Muslims and 'Infidels' (who are usually defined by these folk as being Christians and Jews.)In support of their arguments they pull quotes from the Qu'ran which seem to support their position, but do they really? In this article I want to show the deceitful way in which these folk argue, either out of ignorace on their part or from a desire to stir up hatred against folk.
