Nestling on the sides of meandering rivers or on the devout mountains, baptize in meditation, raise in spiritual rhapsody, chanting the mantras and reaching God, step-by-step, where all else blends into one zeal, to reach the 'God'. Many around the world are getting the mantra of seeking bliss through spiritual meditation. You need no equipment. Only focused concentration and an isolated environment. Sheer bliss for our mind, body and soul.
India is a land that is known to be the birth place of several religions of the World. It is something interesting about India that spirituality in any form finds its roots ingrained in this legendary country. With over a million Gods and home to almost all the faiths of the world, India offers the perfect path to salvation. Buddhism is one such religion that sprouted from India and the thongs of its spirituality has spread far and wide. Though this religion is 1,700 years old but yet the spirituality that it puts forth is always afresh and vibrant, ready to take everyone in its ambit.
Spirituality is not something that can possibly be circumscribed with religions, cultures or art, but yet it finds expression through these modes. Our generation fully understands this reality and so puts on their best to unveil the spirituality that is hidden in all relics of the world. Buddhism being one of the religions that promotes and nourishes this spirituality is applauded worldwide and people take up pilgrimages of Buddhist destinations to understand and experience this divine philosophy. The phenomena of Spirituality is universal and occurs at every place and at any moment of time. So, a visit to Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Lumbini, Kushinagar, Sarnath, Bodhi Sarovar or the Chankamana would inevitably give the same hype of spirit and soul that one may so desire.
We may at times show abhorrence to such concepts and become atheists. We may be led by science in believing that we are just a compilation of genes and molecules and may be persuaded to believe that there is no existence of soul. But, how do we nullify the fact that we are elated at the sound of divine music, are uplifted by the observance of rituals and derive peace from undertaking pilgrimage tours. The observance of the principles laid by Budddha and tour of his pilgrim destinations surely gives us the same feeling of spirituality that is to be experienced because only by doing so can we realize its existence.
