Trust in the LORD

Proverbs 3:5-6.Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. The Bible tells us that we are to trust in the Lord and not to lean to our own understanding. What Does this actually mean? Exactly what it says.
Many skeptics of the Gospel state and pursue a stance of, ”The Bible doesn't mean what it says, it's all just a story of how we should live.” Many times they will state passages in Revelations, Daniel and Isaiah as an example. Rev 17:11-12; And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These skeptics are refusing to believe that these passages and many more are for the end time. They refuse to believe that God will destroy this earth and everything in it.
Man believes in predestination and fait only to the point as to their own interest, they cannot or should I say will not Trust in the Lord that His word is True. When we trust in the LORD with all our heart, we do not doubt His word. Lets take Gods promises to Israel for example. There is war in Israel today, but over the years from before the time of Jesus, the Nation of Israel was almost constantly at war with many factions, wanting to see the total destruction of Israel.
Many see Israel today as the enemy, but if you look at the promises of God to Israel, we see that the Land being fought over belongs to Israel, given to Her by God, for an everlasting possession. Abraham trusted God to fulfill His promises and He will. Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Who then can judge another mans servant, or who makes us a divider of times, lands and possessions? When we start leaning on our own understanding, of events, the world and especially scripture, we are missing the whole truth. We have no truth within us and must no take ourselves too seriously. The heart that God wants us to trust with, is actually the inner man, the soul, the part of us that separates us from the rest of the world. The heart of man is an organ that pumps blood and oxygen to the body for it to survive.
The spiritual heart is also pumping life within us so that we are able to believe and trust in someone more than ourselves. We cannot make decisions within ourselves, most times when we attempt to, our decisions come back to haunt us. 2Sa 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. God is a tower of strength, He is a refuge in times of trouble, a haven of rest for all that are weary.
When we see no way out and we trust in God, our deliverance and a way of escape is always provided. His shield is a barrier to all that come against you, in the flesh and especially in the spirit. Can you trust in God to believe that all manner of salvation for you is provided, or that all manner of spiritual gifts are there for you to use? Who shall declare that God is a lier and untrue? Who shall stand and declare that God is unfaithful and without understanding? No one. In Job 12:8: Job speaks of Trust and in whom to trust; “Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.” Job 12:16-24; With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his. He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools. He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty. He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged. He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty. He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again. He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
The Bible states a truth of God and Man, a simple truth that we all must understand; “For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.” Pro 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. ars.

When the reports of Pastor Ted Haggard's potential sexual downfall were first shouted from the rooftops of the mainstream media his religious friends (and others) pointed fingers at what was certainly political motivation. And politics were certainly a part of the why's and how's of Haggard's downfall but probably not in the way we first thought. To be evangelical and/or charismatic we must be aligned with a specific political party and vote a certain way on each 'important' issue', with importance being defined by someone in a ministry typically located outside of a local church ministry (para-church ministry). - Does the Qu'ran Command Endless War - By: Ray McIntyre
After the tragedies of the 11th of September 2001 and the invasion of Iraq many people are arguing that the Qu'ran and Islam itself teaches that a state of endless war exists between Muslims and 'Infidels' (who are usually defined by these folk as being Christians and Jews.)In support of their arguments they pull quotes from the Qu'ran which seem to support their position, but do they really? In this article I want to show the deceitful way in which these folk argue, either out of ignorace on their part or from a desire to stir up hatred against folk. - Sin is Serious! - By: Rebecca Livermore
I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner – not even to eat with such a person.
