In part one of our seven part series; we explored ways to work with our need for family and security energy.

In part two, we discussed the power of creativity in our lives and how to have our energy work for us to give us more of what we want.

Are you ready for energy point #3? Tap into your worth!

When we step back, we can see that the energies of points #1 and #2 are all about what’s happening in the outside world. As we mentioned before, when we give our energy away to these outside circumstances, we’re left, well, drained, empty and looking for ways to fill up.

It’s in energy point #3 that we start to turn inward. This is our core center of self, and it’s truly where our power lies. Ever feel sick to your stomach when you’re doing something you don’t feel good about? Ever feel a tightening in your abdomen when you haven’t told the truth? What about when you’ve witnessed something cruel or terrible?

This is because our third energy point holds our truth, integrity, and core values.

I was talking to some friends recently about the book The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. This was one of my all-time favorite books growing up (still is). It’s about a girl who’s playing hide-and-go seek with her brothers and sisters, goes into a wardrobe and steps out the back into the magical land of Narnia. The connection to our third energy point is in the battle between the two leaders: the Ice Witch and Aslan, the Lion Ruler. The Ice Witch has turned Narnia into a forever winter and turns anyone who goes against her into stone. She rules through fear. Aslan is loving, honest, does good for others and still takes care of himself. He leads through trust.

Both of these characters live in our third energy point; the stronger one can make or break our well-being, business, and success.

When the Ice Queen has control over our third energy point, we are playing ourselves down, not getting paid what we’re worth, doing out of obligation and not telling the truth to ourselves, our friends/family, the world. We walk around feeling miserable, desperate, and cranky, and we turn to bringing in false comfort: food, smoking, excessive/secretive spending, and overworking. Our stomach and intestines will seize up, bloat, and turn into a protective barrier or discharge erratically to try to get our attention. It’s crying out, “This isn’t who you are! This isn’t what you’re meant to be doing!”

When the Lion Ruler is in command, we are living from our core values, our actions match our deepest beliefs, and our relationships and work reflect this. We are able to come honestly into our lives through purpose, and we recognize that we can serve the world without sacrificing our own well-being. Our stomach rests easy, responds well to the good food we give it, and we feel energized and in the flow—from our bodies to our business.

The key is in strengthening this energy point so it’s always working for you and on automatic. How do we do this? First, we understand what’s standing in our way; second, we clarify our purpose; third, we put it into practice daily; and finally, we allow the world to reflect our value through the wellness of our bodies, the relationships we surround ourselves with, and the use of the wealth that comes into our lives.
