Do you have goals in your life that you want to achieve but you are just not getting their fast enough? I know a little bit about goal setting and I know a little bit about achieving goals and I know a little bit about surpassing the goals that I set in order to achieve early victory and even impress myself. Of course I am an overachiever and a perpetual goal setter, but I have some secrets that work for me and I know they can work for you.
Recently I was asked by a gentleman to analyze how I move forward to get what I want? Indeed desire is the first step in goal setting and it makes sense to understand the power of human intent to achieve those things you wish to in life.
My goal is to write a thousands of online articles and put them online. My goal is to take my knowledge and give it to the world and 18 months ago I set out to write 5000 articles in three years. By the end of the first six months I had written over 2000 articles and therefore I decided that I wanted to try to write 4000 articles by the first year and 5000 articles within 18 months.
Each time that it looked like I was getting close to my goal and I was surpassing my estimated pace of my three year time period I decided to raise the article count. It has been almost 20 months since I started and this is article 9930. My goal now is to write 10,000 articles before October 31, 2006. At the time I wrote this article it was October 10 and with only 70 articles to go I wish to finish this goal now by October 14.
In analyzing how I move forward to get to my goals it appears that I set goals that are reasonable and possible but very difficult. Then I set a timeline, which is achievable but highly unlikely. Next I work towards that goal and as I get closer and get excited to see I am achieving it I get more inclined to pick up the pace. As I see light at the end of the tunnel I make the tunnel longer and since I am use to running faster I hold that pace.
It is amazing what you can do when you set goals and start achieving them in rapid succession and when you find that you are doing good you will also note that it feels good to achieve your goals and human intent will keep you going. If you will take a look at the last goal that you have achieved or one you are working on now and break it down and analyze it you may learn a lot about how you achieve things or go about getting your objectives accomplished.
Although each person is a little different in the way they go about achieving and accomplishing their goals you might like to realize that human intent is an extremely incredible thing and it is something that the human species has that allows us to go beyond what is seemingly impossible. I know you can accomplish your goals if you will only use the tools that you have available and analyze closely how they work best for you.
