It would seem that no one’s vision is more clear and accurate than when one is looking back in hindsight.

Hindsight is almost always a 20/20 revelation.

Did you get that?

I say that hindsight is not just a realization, but a revelation. If you are willing to examine yourself, your life and your actions under a kind of “microscope of inquiry, then you will see, you will know, that the consequences of your actions are not just a realization of the chain of events and result of the choices, but you will see exactly what you are and who you are becoming as a result of the direction that your life is going. It can be a wonder, or a cruel revelation.

It has been said that we become what we think about. In those quiet moments, when we are alone with our thoughts, what is it that we ponder upon? Where does our mind wander when no one is around to see, when no one knows what processes are functioning behind our eyes, inside our mind?

We can control our thoughts. Our thoughts control our actions. Our actions determine, good or bad, who and what we are becoming.

Seems so incredibly simple, doesn’t it?

The twisting of a passing fancy or the pondering of an awesome realization can lead us along the path to devastation or euphoria.

Thoughts become things. True story. But you need to believe and act upon this singular truth. Because whether you realize it or not, whether you believe it or not, you will be the product of your thoughts, your actions, your chosen futures.

It is so much more pleasant, more fulfilling, to choose the path of happiness rather than the path of instant gratification. Happiness is an all inclusive reaching out and gathering in kind of emotion. Instant gratification is somewhat of the opposite, in that it pushes others away in favor of the “me first” mentality and other such selfish motives. Happiness in your accomplishments and successes lasts so much longer than the fleeting thrills of instant gratification.

And happiness is so much easier to share with those you love.
