Passionate Enthusiasm; the Secret Key to Growing Your Business
When you look at the difference between success and failure in small business, one notable fact seems to stand out in almost every instance.
People who succeed are on a mission. They are passionate about whatever it is they are promoting and as a result easily attract an audience.
I saw this in action a couple of times recently.
First at my cell phone company when I went in to upgrade my phone.
The young salesman was adamant about my not purchasing a popular brand of cell phone. He noted that 6 out of 10 of the phones came back for repair shortly after purchasing.
He made a recommendation about a different brand that virtually had no repair complaints. He was passionate about helping me avoid a mistake. He wanted me to have a phone he knew from experience worked well for people in business.
His enthusiasm made me feel that he was steering me in the right direction. As a result, I purchased the phone he recommended and am very happy with it.
Later in the week, a former client wrote to me and was very enthusiastic about a new certification she received. It was something she had worked on for a long time. I could sense immediately that she found her passion in life.
In the past she had challenges getting motivated to market and sell. It was a big step for her each time. This time, she was a completely different person; happy, enthusiastic, ready to tell anyone who would listen about her new program.
Passionate enthusiasm will make more sales and generate more business than any technique, knowledge or process you’ll ever discover. As a result, you will grow your business quicker and with less effort than you ever thought possible.
How to find your passion and connect with the enthusiastic heart.
1. If you are lack luster about presenting and selling your offering, realize your passion is just not there. Consider getting help in finding a new path or modifying your existing business so it better fits “Who you are” as a person.
2. If fear creeps in when it’s time to market and sell, passion is missing. There is no fear when you are selling your inherent strength and personal genius. Ask yourself, “What was I passionate and enthusiastic about when I started this business?”
If you can’t come up with an answer, get help in redefining yourself in business.
3. If you don’t want to communicate, network or take time to create outreach materials that “tells your story” you are promoting the wrong thing. Better to find out sooner rather than later so you can take corrective steps now.
4. Ask yourself this one, simple question. “My authentic talent and passion in business is__________.”
Fill in the blank then take steps each day to reach your heartfelt destination. If you can’t fill in the blank with an answer that makes you feel really good, get help to find your authentic talent in business.
When you are living your life in business with purpose, passion and unbridled enthusiasm, you are among an elite group of successful people who have learned how to love their life in business.
Remember though, life is a journey. Love the trip you are on every moment but be aware when the time for change is upon you.
