Most people associate healing with that which is opposite of dying or a cure for some particular disease.
However, the true meaning of healing is this. . . healing is 'when the mind and the heart come back into balance, and one feels at peace within one’s circumstances whatever they may be'.
To be healed is to be whole. Being healed is to exist in a totally positive space.
So, you see, curing and healing are not the same thing. However, becoming healed has in many instances led to the curing of disease and other ailments at all levels.
When I first became involved in healing energy work it did not take me long to realize that before I could help heal anyone else, I needed to heal myself.
Of course, the healing of oneself is an ongoing process. And, the first step in healing is that of loving yourself.
Yes, love is the optimum healer.
So, you must find out whatever it is in your mind that you do not love, and surround it with the energy of love.
You don’t necessarily have to love what it is or who it is. Love what lessons have been taught, what doors have been opened and what growth has been stimulated.
We must learn to accept where we are and what has happened to us, for all this is what has helped make us who we are today.
When we accept and love our life as it is, we can then begin to heal and become whole.
Acceptance does not mean that we are to just sit and wait for everything in life to slap us around, or whatever. We are to do the very best we can within our situation and always have thoughts and take actions toward that which is better for us.
Acceptance simply means. . . do not resist that which is, accept it and then rise above and go beyond it into a more spiritual realm of understanding.
It is when we do this, and love ourselves no matter what, healing can begin. We can begin the process of becoming whole.
That which we do not love and accept within ourselves will not heal. So, always love and accept yourself.
Find peace by bringing into balance your mind and your heart. Heal yourself first, and then soon you will be contributing to the much needed healing of our world!
