Botswana agate is a purplish-gray fortification gemstone exhibiting white patterns of, usually, circles or ovoids. Usually, it is found in the form of nodules.
Legends abound about Botswana agate. According to them, Botswana agate can be used to stimulate the exploration of the unknown and to further one’s quest towards the enlightened state. Banded agate is said to augment protection, fertility, sensuality, sexuality, passion, artistic expression and emotional comfort. Instead of dwelling on the problem, it lets one look toward the solution. Botswana agate stimulates the crown chakra, encouraging eternal love and allowing for the recognition that eternal love is a constant in the ever-changing universe.
Further, it is claimed that Botswana Agate helps one to maintain a forthright character. It also helps to sustain an attentiveness to detail which further facilitates the sensitivity to, and the recognition and the understanding of, the complete picture, however distorted the picture may be.
It is also said that Botswana agate can be used to treat disorders of the nervous system and help to rid the body of toxins. It also counteracts poisoning on the physical, emotional, and intellectual planes and can also be used to ameliorate depression and stress.
