For those of us who have a difficult time preparing in advance for just about anything that we do (present self included), parking overnight at the airport for a flight can not only be the most expensive part of the trip, but also the most stressful. First, you need to find a car park that offers overnight parking for your needed timeframe. Then, you have to hope they have an open space for you. Finally, it could actually cost less to fly around the world than to pay the fees of such car parks. Does it really need to be this way?
No, it doesn’t. You just need to change your procrastinating ways, learn to think ahead, and realize that careful advance planning usually yields the cheapest rate- especially when it comes to the biggest discounts on airport parking.
Of course, the Internet has brought the entire world into your home, especially when it comes to shopping for unusual items as well as everyday necessities, including airport car parking. There are actually quite a few websites in cyberspace that offer this service to you free or charge, as they are paid by the car park for booking the space. Not only do these sites offer discounts on airport parking when you book well in advance, but the better sites will also offer helpful tidbits of information regarding security, transfers, shuttle busses and of course, exactly how far in advance you should reserve your airport car parking spot.
Many of these sites have the ability to book customers at more than one car park through affiliates and/or other links they might have. Just like nearly everything that you do, there are pros and cons for the different car parks. For example, a car park that’s considered to be “on airport parking” is more likely to have less of a focus on customer service and more of a focus on moving the masses to the terminals. The traveler is typically responsible for finding their own parking spot and has to carry their belongings to meet the bus at the curb.
Off airport parking tends to be a bit more on the friendly side. When you arrive, you check in at the reception office where a helpful staff is ready and waiting to assist you as much as necessary. You’ll have full use of the facilities on the premises, and the coach driver will probably load your baggage onto the bus for you.
When you find the ideal website to assist you in your endeavor, be sure to familiarize yourself with it before committing to any service. Follow all instructions carefully, and be certain not to settle for less than you really want. After all, it’s your money.
