Regarded as being the largest of the Spanish islands, Majorca is known for its party life, cuisine, culture and history. As of recent times it has become a family friendly location which has its own strictly “Children’s Only” areas. Kids are sure to feel as if they are the sole inhabitants in this mystical land. The most natural attraction for children in Majorca would be the beach. Here, they are sure to find absolute fun having the freedom to do anything and everything. While they would be most satisfied to build sand castles and paddle in the seawater, parents would be well advised to keep an eye on the young ones. On a more convenient note, most the hotels in Majorca are close at hand near to the beach.

Majorca boasts many a festival and event throughout the year. What is unsurprising would be that there are certain festivals and events that gather the involvement of children on a rather large scale. One such festival is the Santa Margalida. This festival held in order to honour its patron saint namely Catalina Tomas. There is a colourful and heady procession which deems to commemorate the patron’s beatification by Pope Pious VI.

Like a true festival, this one is full of revelry as well albeit innocent. Children do have prominence here. They are dressed up and devils and have the sole job of terrorising all the locals gathered on the streets while behind the floats young girls are dressed as Santa Catalina. Of course it would not be a festival if there was no food, wine and fun. The Santa Margalida won’t leave you and your family disappointed. Whilst many of these festivals are predominant in Majorca, there are plenty of festival events that are present in places such as Magalluf. Accommodation is no issue since the hotels in Magaluf are truly comfortable and spacious.

Aqualand Mallorca which is found near the El Arenal beach is very family friendly with many rides and attractions. While the stressed out parents could unwind and relax in a jacuzzi, the children would feel especially adventurous trying out various fun activities such as the Grand Canyon, Banzai, the Devil's Tail,Polynesia and Dragoland Mini Park. Another noteworthy water park to visit would be the Western Park which has a Wild West theme. Whilst sea lion shows along with other diving shows are available, so are there scary rides aplenty such as the 'The Beast' and 'The Black Hole'.

The Amaze'n Laberintos' which is located on the Playa de Muro's beach is a massive contraption made out of wood which houses a maze. It is bound to confuse anyone who possesses an instinctive sense of direction. Boasting many puzzles and memory games this intellectual challenge is sure to offer a bounty of fun as well. This labyrinth of sorts is approximately 1356 m long and has a logical event game imbued in it. While Majorca does hold many attractions for kids and the whole family, there are many attractions in Palma as well. Palma per se is an attractive location too which is made all the more enticing since Palma hotels which are versatile and comfy are also in close proximity to these attractions.

Offering a sense of well being and freedom, Majorca is the ultimate getaway from the entire family. The best part of this holiday destination is that there is something for everyone in the family whether it is the parents or the kids. It would be the ideal choice this year to make Majorca the place to visit. It is guaranteed to leave you with aplenty of Kodak moments to enjoy for a lifetime.
