London is one of the most pleasant, captivating cities in Europe that stuns its visitors with innumerable surprises. It’s buoyant and wealthy, and has a vibrating and interesting fusion of cultures of locals, Indians, Irish, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Jamaicans, Nigerians, Ghanaians, Sri Lankans, US, Australians and many more. In fact, London is famous for international diversity and cultural inclusivity.

London is one of the most populous cities within city limits in the European Union with an official population of 7.5 million. Its population is very cosmopolitan, drawing from a wide range of people, cultures and religions speaking over 300 different languages. London is an international transport hub with five international airports and a large port. This picturesque city is a major tourist destination with four world heritage sites and numerous iconic landmarks such as House of Parliament, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye amongst its major attractions. If you are interested in the monarchy and the trappings of power, Westminster is the place for you. Another major attraction is the Buckingham Palace – currently the residence of Her Majesty the Queen. The palace is majestically built and is a visual treat for millions of tourists. Among the notable new landmarks, The British Airways London Eye is the world’s tallest observation wheel at 135 m high. Located on the banks of the River Thames, it offers unrivalled views over London. If you are a lover of art, then make it a point to visit the Madam Tussauds/London Planetarium. Madam Tussaud has wax statue of celebrities hailing from various countries. If you love nature and animals, then visiting the world famous London Zoo in Regent’s Mark is a must. It offers fun and educated day out for all the family.

There is much more in London that can entice you apart from historical monuments and contemporary landmarks. London comes alive in the evening with a wealth of arts, entertainment, cuisine, shopping and much more. There is totally something for everyone. London has some of the best markets and retail stores in the world. Pick your shopping bag and shop till you drop. If you have a good appetite, then enjoy the culinary experience available in London. You can find a wide variety of restaurants choices from fine dining to friendly family restaurants. It has food of all countries and each recipe can tempt you to eat more.
