Fall is here, the leaves are changing color to beautiful gold, red and oranges. Before long it will be winter, the roads will be icy, snow will be on the ground and the temperatures will plummet. Soon you will be dreaming of a tropical vacation on a sunny beach down in the Caribbean. When that time comes, and you are ready to officially take the leap to get away for a few days and spoil yourself, make sure you have everything you need. Some items are obvious, like swimsuits and sunscreen, other are less obvious, like aluminum beach chairs.

Now, beach chairs come in a variety of materials besides aluminum, such as wood, steel, and recycled plastic. So why aluminum beach chairs? I can think of six main reasons why they are a great option.

  1. Cost. Overall, aluminum beach chairs are a lot less expensive than other materials. Especially wooden and recycled plastic chairs can be real pricey, often in the hundreds of dollars.

  2. Light weight. This is really important if you have to carry your chair any distance at all. Wood and other chairs can be quite heavy, which may be fine if it is just sitting out on your deck. But if you are carrying it down to the beach with everything else you need for a perfect day in the sun, then lightweight is what you want.

  3. Non-corrosive. Aluminum beach chairs are corrosion resistant. They will rust eventually, but not quickly. This is because a thin layer of aluminum oxide forms on the surface of aluminum when it is exposed to air which prevents oxidation.

  4. Durable. Yes, aluminum will bend easier than steel, but in relation to its weight, it is quite durable. Basic aluminum beach chairs will hold up to 250 lbs., and many will hold more, especially the loungers.

  5. They come in a large variety of styles. Regardless of what style of beach chair you like, you can probably find it in aluminum. Different styles include low seated chairs with high backs, small beach chairs with umbrellas, lounge chairs and backpack chairs.

Lets take a look at a couple of these styles. The basic lounger has become quite deluxe these days. Such as ergonomic chairs with proper support pillows for areas such as the neck, head and lower back. Some have holes at the top, which is great for a pony tail if you lie on your back, or your face if you lie on your stomach. You can lie face down and read your book on the ground!

Another great style of aluminum beach chairs are the backpack chairs. They can be either a basic beach chair or a lounge chair which has handy carrying straps. Being able to carry your chair on your back keeps your hands free for other items or children.

  6. Large variety of colors. Regardless of the type of material used to cover the chair, it can come in almost any color, color combination or pattern. This allows you to choose a chair that truly suits your personality.

As you can see, aluminum beach chairs are a must for your next visit to the beach. With all the great benefits mentioned above, you can't go wrong, regardless of the style or color of chair that you choose.
