Amsterdam is not only about sex & drugs, it has all the great things that a a big city has to provide. The Netherlands has in fact that most amount of great museums per square foot than anyplace else worldwide.
If you get a tram ride 10 mins from the heartland of the city, you could overcome yourself with those narrow streets busied with nothing additional other than the cyclist and a car every now & then. The city is in fact so quite, but interesting. Take a walkway by the cobbled streets and serene canals and you may seem a million miles from the alive nightlife on every corner.
Dam Square
Dam Square is the heart of the town & located on the site of the original Amstel dam. The focal spot of the Square is the Royal Palace. In the beginning the town hall, it became regal resulting Louis Napoleon’s coronating in 1808.
Rijksmuseum
The fab Rijksmuseum is residence to some of the most significant historical art worldwide. Perhaps the most notable pieces here are that by Rembrandt the works of Frans Hals and Vermeer also characteristic prominently. Beautiful illustrations of porcelain dolls & dolls’ houses may likewise be seen.
Van Gogh Museum
Another unmissable illustration of fine art is displayed at the aim built Van Gogh Museum. Admitting many of his best pieces, the Van Gogh Museum is home to the largest collection of his work in the world.
