Ten Steps to Start an E-Book

Ten Simple Steps to turn your idea into eBooks :

1) Research your own topic. It can be a topic that you are familiar with, a topic that find it interesting, a topic that could attract readers.

2) Brainstorm your chapter headings. This is always the starting point. You have ideas but don’t know where to start. Don’t have to bother about the flow at the start. Just brainstorm and start with any chapter.

3) Set up folders for your chapter headings. So, you can write on any chapters when the idea comes to your mind. It is easy for your compilation later on.

4) Write one, two, three articles for each chapter heading (sub headings) and save them in your chapter folders.

5) Highlight resource areas in your text as you write. Later you can come back and insert your links here.

6) Edit the book for flow. Ask yourself this question continuously as you write it. “Does it flow?” If it does not, edit it again and again. It takes time to come up with a good book. DO NOT give up!

7) Get someone else to read it. Ask them to note the places where it’s hard to read, difficult to understand what you are saying. Edit these hard-to-read places. This may have to do with the words, or it may have to do with layout.

8) Make sure you do a spell check on your book. Books with spelling errors will show that you are not professional.

9) Insert graphics to make the book entertaining to the reader’s eye.

10) Compile your eBook with your trusty eBook compiler, and create a cover for it.
