  • Football - Special Teams

    Rating:

If you're a big football fan, probably one of the most frustrating things you can watch in a game is when two teams are going at it, head to head, evenly matched, no score, both defenses doing their job and then suddenly a kick off is returned 100 yards for a touchdown because a guy on special teams missed an easy tackle. The game is lost because of somebody who is on the field maybe a total of 2 minutes in a 60 minute contest. It's enough to make you pull your hair out of your head.Read more…

  • Football Scouting Software - By: Todd Krueger
Football is all about timing. Not just the timing that is required between the offensive line and the running back, or between the safeties and linebackers on a blitz play, but also the timing of the coach to choose the right plays at the right time. The difference between success and failure rides upon play selection more than any other factor.
  • Football Defense, Gap 8 - By: Todd Krueger
Gap 8 DefenseThe Gap-8 and 10-1 names are really misnomers. My defense is, at times a Gap-8, a 10-1, and sometimes even a 9-1-1 or a 7-3-1. It depends on the offensive formation. The name gap-8 is from the old days when the offense was almost always in a full house T-formation with two tight ends and the defense was truly in a gap-8.
